| the managerial staff’s financial responsibility of providing their own apartments. BYD will construct a second village to satisfy a portion of other employee’s needs for apartments. In order to solve the educational problem , BYD set up “BYD Kindergarten” in cooperation with Shenzhen High School, one of the best high schools in Shenzhen. In addition BYD also set up “BYD School” providing high-quality preliminary, primary and high school educational services. In order to resolve financial stress of employees, the company formulated welfare policies to assist employees in many aspects of life. The company also invested in the construction of two national sports and cultural centers in Shenzhen and Shanghai. These facilities are equipped with the best technologies in order to provide employees with sports and recreational sites. This year, the company was included in “National Demonstration Unit in Employees Sporting Magazine” as the only private enterprise listed. In order to improve qualification of employees, the company established “BYD Technical School” in 2004 to provide further education for the employees and reward their contributions to the company. The company has also set up hospitals, banking sites, supermarkets, libraries and retirement homes. |
| According to Mr. Wang Chuanfu, this year BYD will contribute RMB 40 million to establish “BYD Children’s House”, which will cover construction fees, engineering fees, design fees, living fees, educational fees, and medical fees of the welfare house. The company plans to donate to Longgang District Charity according to the number of children in the “BYD Children’s Welfare House” and Shenzhen children’s welfare houses combined. |
“BYD Children’s Welfare House” is a non-profit institution dedicated at fostering and helping disabled children and orphans while offering a healthy living environment, as well as providing health care and education.
